Hello and Welcome!

I’m glad you are here.  This part of the website is for you.  We are connected and I believe our spirits can work together to help our psyches and our bodies feel centered and balanced.  Here is our moment to just pause and exhale and let some tension go.  We have time.  Being centered is contagious, so let’s spread it around.  Our world needs us.  I appreciate you visiting my site and hope to sing with you soon.

About

Aureole Lighten is a World Music vocalist and a devotee of Earth and Spirit.  She weaves messages of love, healing, and transformation into her lyrics. Aureole’s intention is to tap into her deeper self through music, to groove with it, and offer it to everyone.

As a songwriter, she is influenced by rhythms from the Middle East, India, Cuba, Indigenous North America and Mexico.  Her style has elements of pop, folk, hip hop, R&B, and hypnotic cross cultural spiritual chants.  Her voice sounds a bit sultry like Sade and Norah Jones and a bit other worldly like Enya.

Aureole performs around Seattle in places of worship like Center for Spiritual Living, Gaia’s Temple, and Shoreline Unitarian Universalist Church.  She was the lead singer for Bossa and Wonderland for four years, and has performed at Aurora Borealis, North City Bistro, Columbia City Theater, and Egan’s.  Aureole loves to sing kirtan response vocals for her Sound School teacher Gina Salā, global vocalist and mantra teacher.  She also has had the honor of learning from and playing with masterful musicians Danny Godinez, Simone LaDrumma, Anil Prasad, Richard Russell and Pam Gerke.
